SUMMARY:Groove/Factory Presents: The Frogs | Sun\, Nov 1
DESCRIPTION:A Comedy Written in 405 BC by ARISTOPHANES\nFreely Adapted by BURT SHEVELOVE\nEven More Freely Adapted by NATHAN LANE\nMusic & Lyrics by STEPHEN SONDHEIM\nMusic Direction by AMY MORGAN\nDirected by ET WILFORD \nFrustrated that theater has lost its bite\, Dionysos\, the god of drama\, travels to the underworld to bring back a great playwright who can wake up a troubled world. Sondheim’s witty take on Aristophanes’ 2\,400-year-old comedy is equal parts slapstick\, satire\, and a genuine case for why art still matters.
